On the 1st of November Hayley visited Alfred Salter primary school to receive a cheque for 6,000.00 pound towards her Unicef Bikes For Ghana Appeal.
Her visit lasted two hours,while there Hayley visited the Nursery,two classes and then joined pupils from years 1-6 in the main hall.
The older pupils sang Pokarekare ana to Hayley,she was seen to mouth Oh Wow.
She was then asked questions re her work with Unicef and her visit to Ghana and then presented cd's to the highest individual fundraisers.
The cheque Hayley received represents 400 bicycles for girls in Ghana.
It is a magnificent effort by all involved,
Hayley sang prayer for the children with out music or a microphone,
Hayley and Kathryn Nash were presented with flowers then they and the visitors from Unicef and the schools leadership team and the representitives from HWI retired to an informal buffet.
Hwi was represented by Roger,Dave,Andrew,Steve,Stuart of course was there wearing his Head Teacher Hat.
